How social media forces me to step away, and the (my) cycle of mental illness.

Social media is great… especially for people like me who are introverts, but want to keep in touch.

But it gets to be too much sometimes. So I step away. I put my phone on do not disturb, so I don’t constantly see notifications, and I just write, rest, or spend time in nature.

In the process of hurting my back, and doing the things needed to get it healed up, I was sort of forced into a break, but I slowly realized I was needing one anyway.

If you know my story, then you know I struggle with mental health diagnoses, and as much as I would love to be “even keel”, and emotionally leveled out, the fact is I’m not that way.

I’ve been working on my #jeepminicamper and that has been a source of accomplishment, and also a way to distract my mind from morbid thoughts, unrealistic fears, and some depression.

The thing about mental illness, for me anyway, if I don’t manage it right, all of the things I do to distract my mind, come creeping back up if I try to pretend that they aren’t there. So I just deal with it. I put myself in the very present, noting the things around me, what I’m doing, or not doing. What is actually real, and not some illogical thought process that is stemming directly from a ptsd symptom, or a cloud of oppressive depression.

It’s hard. It’s just hard some days. I get tired. I get frustrated, I get angry, I cry. I question everything, I question my life’s worth, I question my worth as a human being, I even guestion the things that bring me peace, wondering if I’m even worth peace.

Those things are the trickery and deception of mental illness. It comes to steal kill and destroy. Destroy families, destroy relationships, friendships, and in worst case it will take your life.

How social media forces me to step away, and the (my) cycle of mental illness.

I’m hyper vigilant…this stems from a home invasion, and domestic violence. But that hyper vigilance seeps into other areas… and compounds symptoms. If I’m going through a cycle of depressive episodes, that hyper vigilance will look for everything that is depressing in my life… logical? Absolutely not, but that’s the cycle some days.

So today’s ramblings are what I’m currently struggling with. I share because I know I’m not alone in struggling with mental health… although I am physically alone, I still want to be open and share, because someone else needs to hear that they are not alone.

You are not alone.

I may not be the best to talk to all the time, but I will listen, and be an ear. Sometimes that’s all a person needs.

So with that, I’m peacin’ out for today.

Thanks for listening. I’m working on a podcast, but it’s new territory for me, so please be patient. Also, please share, like, subscribe if you feel inclined, I would truly appreciate it.

This is rosin pressed….think of how olive oil is produced. They take the hemp plant and place in a powerful press, with a little heat, and it literally squeezes out all of the goodies. Remember our bodies already have an endocannabinoid system, so this plant is made to work with our bodies and create homeostasis.

“A rosin press is a machine that uses a pair of heated plates to press with enough pressure any cannabis, and hemp material, such as buds, keif, or hash, which causes the cannabinoids and terpenes to seep out in an oily form called rosin. Rosin gained popularity with its solventless yet easy extraction process.” (Sited from

The ingredients are as follows:

  • Organic MCT oil
  • hemp extract.

“Real quick the difference between “isolate” and “full spectrum” CBD. Made from industrial hemp, the legal term given to genus of cannabis plants that contain less than 0.3% THC. For comparison, cannabis plants contain 6-25+% THC. Extracts from industrial hemp containing less than 0.3% THC are legal to possess and sell in all 50 states in the U.S, under federal law. THC and CBD are the main cannabinoids found in cannabis, each having it’s own medicinal benefits. CBD does not have psychoactive properties like THC and will not give the user a “high”. (Source here). I took this information directly from HumbleCollectiveCBD’s FAQ page.

“What is the difference between isolate and full spectrum pain salve?
Full spectrum pain salve is a tad more effective than the isolate pain salve, because it contains THC as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes. We carry both options so people can choose what is best for their needs. (Source here). CBD is made from industrial hemp, the legal term given to genus of cannabis plants that contain less than 0.3% THC. For comparison, cannabis plants contain 6-25+% THC. “The simplest way to state the difference in these two methods is to say that ethanol extracts produce a more complex oil, capturing a more full range of plant constituents. This is because CO2 extraction methods are more selective in their extraction targets (using temperature and pressure) while ethanol is relatively non-selective: for example, using most available methods, one cannot chose to extract terpenes and not the cannabinoids with an ethanol extraction, whereas you can do this (and people do this) with CO2 extractions. Ethanol better preserves terpenes and all the flavonoids – the phytochemical of the plant and of course the
compounds or cannabinoids. Alcohol has been the go to solvent for herbalists for centuries – it is natural and trusted way to make plant medicines: using the ‘spirit’ (alcohol) of one plant to make medicine from another plant,” (Sourced directly from HumbleCollectiveCBD’s facebook FAQ page.)

Anyway, this is the ingredient list for Blue Dream…you can purchase this product, or any other via this shared link.

Tomorrow , in this three part series, will be their 3:1 CBDA/CBD oil. I take this every morning, and give it to my pets. It is rosin pressed which gets more of the medicinal properties in the product. You can look at it HERE.

When I say I’ve tried a lot of face products, I ain’t kiddin’… But the Facial Serum, and the Blue Dream cream, is a game changer. I am outside year round taking care of animals, and absolutely can’t stand it if my face feels dry. The serum alone does the trick, but holy guacamole..adding in the Blue dream cream was the cherry on top.

The LEGAL Delta 9 + CBD gummies keep me walking, literally. They help with my ptsd symptoms, and anxiety. Without having this product, I am in pain that is not manageable. I do have pharma for a last resort, but that’s exactly what they are, a last resort. I will always reach for my plant medicine first.

I’m adding my screen shots of these products, because I think everyone needs to see the amazing product they are getting, for an affordable price. The quality is exceptional. I will never use anything else.

If you haven’t tried their products, you’re missing out. Seriously.

I’ll add a reel to my Facebook page, with a link.

I got my shipment in today and I am so glad.

Consider plant medicine. It is so much better for our bodies. We already have an endocannabinoid system built it, so our bodies are wired to work with these plants. Why do you think our government has owned the patent on cannabinoids working as protectants? DUH… they don’t want us to heal ourselves, they want to sell us drugs made synthetically, and overcharge insurance companies, and benefit the pharmaceutical companies. Sorry, not sorry…but it’s true.

This post is not to dish on pharma….there have been many many good things come from pharma…like my statin. I tried to adjust my diet and lower cholesterol, but couldn’t, so I take a statin. I don’t feel that EVERY SINGLE drug out there is bad….I just don’t like the monopoly that seems to go on at times. So don’t give me the side eye. There are good meds, I just haven’t had a good track record with taking them.

So, there you have it. Plants are where it’s at, in most cases. Most of our medications originated from plants… so I mean…🤷🏻‍♀️. Why can’t we continue to heal ourselves that way.

I think we should.

Dying man’s medical cannabis, seized from his hospital room, and given a court date.

Dying man’s medical cannabis, seized from his hospital room, and given a court dates

I found out about this from a friend of mine. I will link the original article, posted in the Wichita Eagle HERE

So, in my opinion, this is fn’ ridiculous. Yes, I know opinions are like a$$holes, we’ve all got them.

According to the article, posted in the Wichita Eagle, a #DYING man’s medical cannabis, which was in paste form and a vape pen, was seized by LE, while he was in the hospital, waiting for his disease to kill him.

The medical grade cannabis, was taken from a man DYING and IN THE HOSPITAL, and a court date was set. (Which he more than likely won’t make, wonder if they’ll issue and FTA to a dead man.)

Let me be CLEAR, I am not against LE, I like them. They’ve always been there for me. This IS NOT a police bashing post, so don’t come in and start with me, you’ll lose, or be blocked.

I get the slight fire hazard part…but…

What I don’t get is our #OBVIOUS lack of humanity for a person trying to die without pain.

If anyone has any more facts about this case, please reach out. I don’t want to miss something important, and it’s 5 something in the morning, and I’m not functioning.

When is this insanity going to stop? Cannabis is a #PLANT, that has been used to zillions of years for many many illnesses, anxiety, depression, seizures, pain, sleep, inflammation.. I could go on and on.

Go check out US Pantent #6630507. That is our government owning the patent on cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants. What does that tell you? They have held the patent for years. This tells me that there are more monetary and control issues here. Not the well being of the human race. (Any words underlined are linked to trusted sources.)

To 69 year old Greg Bretz, I am sorry. I truly am. Prayers are with you and your family.

End the madness.

It’s not a secret, if you know me, that I am all about everything cannabis, hemp, weed. I am a firm believer in plant medicine, and if you do your research, all medicine originally came from PLANTS. Get CBD here.

I personally take CBD, CBG, CB-everything, and it is helping me wean off of pharma. I also am going to give a huge shout out to my people, who make the products I take. Here is a link to get your own.

But lets talk about the benefits of CBD for pain.. Just for ONE instant, open your mind and consider plant medicine.

“Cannabis has been used for millennia to reduce pain. Herbal cannabis is currently strongly promoted by some patients and their advocates to treat any type of chronic pain.” Source PubMed.

It personally, helps reduce overall inflammation throughout my entire body. With no side affects.

Yes, you need to do your research to find what strain and what products work best for you. Don’t take my word for it, let it prove itself for you.

Will it get you high? CBD will not, but if you get anything with a higher amount of THC in it, you could feel some affects of euphoria.

Humble Collective CBD, and Humble Alternative have the best products on the market, FOR AN AFFORDABLE PRICE, from anywhere else I’ve seen.

You must make sure to take products that are unadulterated, and have ZERO additives.

These products are just that. Perfect. <—-click here to get your own.

So go get you some, and chill the F out.

NaNoWriMo poetry writing 50k words

During the month of November, I am participating in a writing challenge through the non profit called NaNoWriMo. (See link for more info).

This is a challenge where you can network with other writers, the general public, or completely keep your writing private. It runs until the end of November, and the challenge is to write at least 50,000 words. That’s 50k.

I’m at a little over 10k right now.

If you divide it up, it’s writing approximately 2000 words a day. That’s easy to do if you can get in your zone.

Let me know what you think. 😊

If you don’t see much of me on here, that’s why. I’m in my mojo and writing, though I will try to check in and share my progress.

Depression and anxiety suck

white and brown wooden tiles

Depression and anxiety suck.

Depression and anxiety sucks, and I have been dealing with it since I was 9 years old.

I have many hours in with my therapist, and many coping skills in my tool box. But there are some days that even that doesn’t work very well. In those cases I need to step away from all social media, my business, and go out and be in nature, and just sit. That may sound crazy, but it works for me.

There are also ways you can have tools readily available from you phone, or computer.

I have been researching mental health options and want to share them here. I will ad more to this post as I find programs, because everyone is different, and so are some of the mental health programs that are available to us.

The most important thing to remember is to REACH out for help when you need it. Doesn’t matter how, or who, just ask for help. Don’t struggle alone. There is always someone out there that can relate and that you can talk to.

Panic Away is an option for you that I’m sharing now. Try it out.

Don’t give up, you are on this planet for a reason. Find your reason.

There are treatments for depression and anxiety, and learning how to treat your symptoms of anxiety and depression is key to being able to find some sort of ”normalcy” in your life. Whatever normal is.
