St Patty’s day is coming up…though we all might think we are Irish and embark on a pub crawl… but some of us still want to eat. 😂.

Then there’s EASTER…I remember getting together and visiting with people and eating a bunch of food during that time. I wish I had known about this company back then… I could have escaped the kitchen duty. 😁.

What happened to that? Life is such an experience. I’ve found that since I’m getting older, everything about me has changed. Most of that is because I’m growing and learning, but most is just the evolution of life. Always changing. Today is the day. Traditionally we’d all run out to the stores and get into the hustle and bustle of the kickoff of the holiday season. It’s 30 days until Christmas.

I can’t believe another year is almost over. I think that’s the most freaky thing to me… how time is just flying by. We made it through a worldwide “pandemic”. Deaths of close friends and family, starting a business, and redefining what that goal is, and how it looks. Wild crazy weather, drought, rain.

I honestly want to get away from it all. Seriously. I’m starting a fundraiser to help with finding a camper/van.

Just a quick post to say that I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, or however you chose to spend your day. I’m, as usual, crunching trying to get my NaNoWriMo finished. I’ve spend too much time “thinking” about it, and am only at about 17k words at this moment. Also the depression, ptsd, autoimmune struggle has been rough. Really rough.

During the month of November, I am participating in a writing challenge through the non profit called NaNoWriMo. (See link for more info).

This is a challenge where you can network with other writers, the general public, or completely keep your writing private. It runs until the end of November, and the challenge is to write at least 50,000 words. That’s 50k.

I’m at a little over 10k right now.

If you divide it up, it’s writing approximately 2000 words a day. That’s easy to do if you can get in your zone.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are just around the corner. I’m going to go over some of my favorite things in this post. Maybe you’ll get some ideas for gifts for others.

My number 1 favorite gadget is this SOLAR POWERED FLASHLIGHT. You can charge your electronics with it, it has 6 different light settings, a seatbelt ”cutter”, glass breaker, and a powerful magnet to stick to anything. I’ve also included two of my videos about this flashlight.

Another favorite of mine is this portable water filter. Are you prepared? Do you live a nomad lifestyle? These are things that you need to have if that’s the case. (That link will give you a few different options for water filters, water filtration systems, and replacement filters. )

Who doesn’t like getting FOOD for gifts? I mean really, chocolate covered strawberries are a favorite of mine. The holidays are super busy, and I have used Hello Fresh and the food quality is top shelf.

After doing a lot of research on how our food is made, and having numerous medical issues caused from processed foods, I can say that cutting out the ”junk”, has helped. Jewelry. You absolutely cannot go wrong with pretty things. Even manly jewelry. Zales is running a sale now, if you feel like you want to send a forever piece to your bestie.

Kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms, decor…you can’t beat stuff like that for gifts. Don’t know what they want? Get them a gift card. Or, you know, just ask… people will always give you answers when you ask the right questions. OVERSTOCK is a great place to shop. So is AMAZON. I know there are different opinions out there about different places. Good afternoon people of the interwebs.

I have shared in my previous posts that I started an online business at the beginning of 2022.

What a ride it has been. I have learned so much about digital marketing, social media marketing, making content, and I continue to learn new things everyday!

It’s good

So I was reading a blog tonight, and noticed a comment left on one of my posts that I never answered, so I answered it tonight. And I realized that when I thought about what I was going to say, that I was over such a “love”.  Maybe over isn’t the right word. Maybe just settled with what it really is.  Which is not for me.  I thought I could love such a “love”  into existence, and I can not.  No matter how much I love, it’s not going to be returned. I’m ok with that now.  I kept telling this person that I would eventually “get over it” for lack of a better phrase, and so he would understand.  And I guess I am there now.  I am full of compassion and care for him, but I know that it will be nothing more than friends at this point.  No need to go into the why’s or how comes, because it doesn’t matter…I have come to enough closure, that I can let it go to it’s place inside my heart, to lay dormant and subsequently grow into something else.  I don’t know what that something else is going to be, or if or when…but I know that it will because that’s what God has promised.

As I look back, again, on the healing process I see my heart bleeding tears, I see my eyes running dry, and I remember waking up only to realize that it was happening again…with that sick vomit feeling in the pit of my stomach.  Thinking, “oh God, here I go again.”  Months of why’s, and anger, and tears and hurt and bitchyness….of trying to be “friends” with this person, only to realize each time that it was only allowing me to lose my own self respect. You would have thought that since I had been through this before, I would have not done the same things again…but noooooo…I didn’t want to give up, and kept trying.  Only to realize that I knew how it was all going to end anyway, and just couldn’t or wouldn’t face it.  Maybe it’s just my stubbornness that makes excuses for myself.  HA.  Of course that makes no sense whatsoever….Whatever, either way I’m ok, and I always knew I would, I just kept hoping….

Hope is something that I cannot lose, ever.  When, the few times I have lost hope…I’ve lost everything. I am not put together to be without it…kind of like love….  I can be without love…romantic, committed love, but I can’t be without hope.  It’s what keeps me going.  Keeps me looking for the good in things, soldiering on, growing…I’ll never know everything life has to offer.  But without hope, I won’t experience anything.

My blog started as a therapy tool, and has continued as such.  I want to talk about other things that mean something to me, but I find that affairs of the heart, people, understanding, spirituality, animals….they all seem to make up what is important to me, and/or what seems to bring me joy and happiness.  So, I’ll just blog on and about whatever happens to be important or going on at that time in my life.  Right now I’m enjoying the wonderful cooler weather, allowing my heart to put itself back together, loving life and what it has to offer.  God never fails.  Ever. 🙂 ©2013
