I screwed up.

I screwed up.

I made a mistake…not one that I cannot fix, but I find myself feeling guilty, feeling like a failure, feeling like I don’t deserve to be forgiven.

Since we have new kittens, I was on my way out this morning, listening to Joyce Meyer’s podcast while driving. I’m also going through her book “Battlefield of the Mind”. I’ll link it if you’re interested.

Anyway, during my panic attack for realizing my lapse in brain function…plain ole getting overwhelmed with other things, the message was….or the one I got was that God is still working on me. I’m going to make mistakes….I’m human. But because of things I won’t get into here, I immediatlely began to feel like a giant pile of sh*t.

I can’t change the past. I can only work hard to move forward. Just now. I can fix this mistake, and all will be ok, so me feeling like I do is simply an attack on my weaknesses….of which I have many.

Something else that I have to work on is forgiveness….I can forgive others, but I am challenged to forgive myself. Thus I am battling with a feeling of worthlessness. The jerk that lives in hell knows our weaknesses and he will attack us with those.. I have to pray and be in the word, especially when I’ve lapsed in my own mind.

Things will be ok. I’ll fix it. But I have to ALLOW God to handle the feelings of worthlessness.. because He doesn’t want us to feel that way. We are not worthless, we are saved by the blood of Jesus. I’m always over analyzing, and condenming myself…which is not what I should do.

Part of this post is to just remind myself to believe that God is pleased with us, (as I’m listening to Joyce Meyer say), He’s pleased with us even in our mistakes.

Put your armor on. The battle is real.
